Thank you for your interest in submitting an abstract for the 2026 New Jersey Climate Change Research Symposium to be held June 10, 2026, at Rutgers University. Abstracts may be submitted using the form linked below.

Abstract Submission Guidelines. Abstract submissions will be considered for posters, oral presentations, or panel sessions of up to 4 authors. Presenting authors must register for and attend the symposium in person. Only two lead-authored submissions per registrant. Each abstract submission must provide a concise description of the topic, its relevance and timeliness to New Jersey climate mitigation, climate adaptation, and/or climate resilience. Faculty, staff, post-doctoral associates, or graduate students affiliated with academic and research organizations are encouraged to submit abstracts, as are individuals affiliated with non-profits, government entities, the private sector, and more. The abstract submission deadline is 11:59 pm March 6, 2026.
Notification. Abstracts will be reviewed for quality and relevance to the symposium purpose and submission guidelines. Applicants will be notified of abstract acceptance by email on or around March 31, 2026. More information about session parameters will be provided at that time. Accepted abstract presenters will be required to pay the registration fee. For more information or questions please email nj-ccrc@rutgers.edu.
Please note the following abstract submission requirements:
- Abstracts should focus on the natural and social science, economics, engineering, and policy research and address issues related to understanding, assessing, evaluating, and responding to climate change in New Jersey.
- Abstracts will be considered regarding ongoing investigations as well as tools, guidance documents, case studies, and other relevant resources.
- Abstracts will be considered regarding published science as well as tools, guidance documents, case studies, and other relevant resources published in 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.
- All abstract titles should be no more than 30 words.
- Abstracts for oral presentations and poster presentations should be no more than 300 words.
- Abstracts for panel sessions can be up to 800 words.
Individuals submitting an abstract should be aware of the following presentation requirements:
- Poster presenters can expect participating in a poster/networking session that will last for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Poster size/guidelines will be forthcoming, but poster presenters should expect to give short presentations no more than 3-minutes on a rolling basis during the poster/networking session.
- Oral presentations will be approximately 15 minutes, including time for questions.
- Panel sessions will be approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, including time for questions.
